  1. Hello,Stewart.
Baked beans with chilli sauce? I can get on board with brown sauce or cheese but that seems a bit radical 😀

    1. Hello, Dave.
I used to be brown sauce myself but I’ve really taken to the chilli sauce.
I understand it might not be to everyone’s liking though!

  2. Just out of interest Stewart, when you have these short say 45 minute sessions on the canal, without obviously revealing locations etc, on average how long does it generally take you to travel to/from the canal to have that 45 minutes? The reason I ask is that I am a Carer for my terminally ill Grandson and as a result of his health deteriorating recently, I have had to drastically reduce the time of my fishing sessions, however because of the length of time it takes for me to travel to/from the canal, I still try to get at least 2 hours in whilst my wife temporarily takes over the role as carer for my Grandson. But even 2 hrs seems to fly by so quickly, so I can only imagine how quickly 45 minutes of fishing would pass by.

    1. Hello, Peter.
First of all, let me say how sorry I am to hear about your grandson.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Regarding the fishing, the venues are all just minutes away and with the lure rod made up, I’m fishing within seconds of arriving.
Sometimes I leave home with a song playing in the car and it’s still going when I get there!

      1. Hi Stewart, since my lure fishing sessions have basically halved from 4 hrs to 2 hrs, instead of walking and searching a lot of water, now time is no longer at a premium, I have to specifically target known areas where I have caught previously. And although it is not the end of the world if I blank, I do feel more under pressure with the clock ticking until that first fish is in my hand

        1. Hello, Peter.
The first fish is always important for me as well on the really short sessions.
After a few blanks I think a fish would be nice for the blog!

  3. Hi Stewart, I’ve noticed in your last few lure fishing sessions that you are using a new lure rod, can I please ask you what your new lure rod is? Many thanks in advance.

    1. Hello, Peter.
My other rod snapped a while back. Been using a Greys rod since.
I list all the tackle in the blog entries.
      Here’s the current lure set-up:

  4. Hi Stuart,
Been watching your videos for a while, and enjoying them. Simple but effective fishing, not complicated with all the latest gadgets! And still it catches fish. I recognise the Tench water your on, that is a great place, and the wood is a fantastic walk. I to fish and enjoy the Great Outdoors, Mother Natures Medicine!
Keep up the good work and I’ll look forward to more videos.

    1. Thanks, Carl.
It’s a lovely place, sometimes just being there is enough and fish are a bonus.
A welcome one though, that’s why we go!
