The reason I went that way though was to support British jobs.

As a very patriotic and idealistic young man, who loved his country, I considered it almost my duty to buy British whenever possible.

I can remember parking the car outside our house (I lived at home with my parents then) and constantly looking out my bedroom window to see if it was ok.

There were hardly any cars in the street back then but if you go to that estate today, it’s the opposite.

As well as numerous people building drives, there are plenty of vehicles on the road itself as well.
