Back on track for The New Saints and behind the Park Hall media scenes as the league leaders beat Newtown AFC 1-0

With The New Saints losing the first league match of the season the previous weekend in Cardiff, a positive bounce back was crucial.

Fortunately, that was the case and although it was just 1-0, the bottom line is that the side got back on track.

We had to wait until the 45th minute though before the deadlock was broken, when a Chris Marriott free-kick was powered home by Ryan Astles.

Combined with Connah’s Quay Nomads drawing 1–1 with Bala Town, it means TNS has a lead of seventeen points at the top of the table.

With just eight games to go, it’s looking very good indeed.
