His Girl Friday, starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell with another fishing reference

The 1940 black and white movie, His Girl Friday, stars Cary Grant (Walter Burns) and Rosalind Russell (Hildy Johnson).

The two were previously married, but when Hildy Johnson visits Walter Burns to tell him she’s getting hitched again the following day, he goes flat out to disrupt the plans because he wants his ex-wife back.

It’s based around a newspaper office and a man on death row.

The angling reference is at the beginning when there’s a conversation and someone says there’s only two places to go fishing.
