Feeding the tourist gene with a walk around Langstone in south Wales

Whenever I do an overnight stay with The New Saints, I invariably talk a walk around the local area.

In the past that’s included places such as Belfast, Copenhagen, Gibraltar and Torshavn among many others.

Today, I added Langstone to the list.

A residential village north of Newport, in south Wales, it’s true to say that it isn’t a tourist destination.

Still, I was there so I took advantage of that by going for a walk, as I fed my own tourist gene.

I didn’t get to the parish church, which goes back to the C13th, as I walked the A48 Chepstow Road as far as Catsash Road.

I did come across Langstone Methodist Church though, as I got that far and then walked back to the hotel.
