A 1941 movie starring Roger Pryor and Virginia Vale (lead image), South Of Panama tells the story of a scientist being tracked by criminals after his secret aeroplane paint.
His sister, Janice Martin (Virginia Vale) leads them away using an innocent man (Mike Lawrence, played by Roger Pryor) as the bait.
Virginia Vale also doubles up as Dolores Esteban and the dual role is very much part of the story.
It’s a low budget movie but with an interesting plot.
Also in the film is Sam McDaniel, who plays Rod Jones.
Born in 1886, his parents were slaves and his father fought in the American Civil War.
