Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, featuring a future president of the United States

Not surprisingly, the huge success of Home Alone (budget $18 million making $477 million at the box office) meant that two years later there was a sequel released.

The 1992 movie had a bigger budget ($28 million) but made less ($359 million), although still a healthy bottom line.

The main characters were still intact and again, the plot revolves around Kevin McAllister separated from his family, while he battles with Harry and Merv the crooks.

Another brilliant script and as funny as the first one.

When Kevin (Macauley Culkin) arrives at the hotel in New York, he asks directions from a man passing by.

It’s none other than Donald Trump, who owned the hotel in real life and later became the USA’s president number forty-five.
