Doctor In Love, the most popular British film of 1960

Another one courtesy of TPTV Encore, Doctor In Love is the fourth in the series of seven ‘Doctor’ films and was released in 1960.

It was the first one not to feature Dirk Bogarde, although Michael Craig was excellent as his replacement.

It’s a reminder that matter how good we are, there’s always someone equally so, if not better, ready to step in given a chance.

It also starred Leslie Phillips (who passed away last month), James Robertson Justice (he plays the part of Sir Lancelot Spratt and is brilliant) and John Le Mesurier (Sgt. Wilson in Dad’s Army).

Nicholas Parsons (Sale Of The Century) was also one of the stars.

It was the most popular British movie of the year.
