He gets involved with a local theatre company and, very quickly, turns their fortunes around.
There’s a romantic involvement with Anna Lee (Carol Sands), who was known as the ‘British bombshell’ and it’s an emotional ending.
He sacrifices his own love interest in a very selfless way.
He pretends that he doesn’t care when really he does.
A lovely film, I really enjoyed it.
Also stars David Tree (plays a great part as Peter Thropp) and Dame May Whitty (Miss Froy in The Lady Vanishes and Emily Truscott in this film).
