Watching Wales v England on television, fishing a woodland pool and talking angling and Welsh football on radio

Getting back from work yesterday, I ate food, went shopping and then settled down to watch the Wales v England game on television.

There were several permutations, as far as who would progress and who would exit the competition was concerned, but in the end it’s the lions who go marching on as the dragons’ World Cup adventures come to an end.

Wales started with four English-born players and, at one stage, there were just five Welshmen on the pitch.

With international qualification stretching back to grandparents, the close links between the countries means there’s an extended pool of talent for Wales to choose from.
