I threw out a few loose maggots, as and when required, in response to the feeding activity.
Now is the time when you need to watch how much feed you introduce.
Remember, you can always put more out but you can never take it back.
Keep the fish keen and competitive but don’t overfeed them.
Talking of which, it went very quiet indeed at point and then I found out why, when I hooked a small pike.
Once that was returned, it was back to a bite every cast.
