I love the view from the back of our home, looking out across the valley.
It’s also really good for birding and, for the last day of the month, I thought I’d see how many I could spot in a random period of time in the afternoon.
I was there for just forty-five minutes and it was, as always, pretty busy with birds.
The species (16), in order of appearance, are below.
wood pigeon, blue tit, carrion crow, great tit (m, f), magpie, lesser black-backed gull, house sparrow (m, f), great black-backed gull, dunnock, goldfinch, greenfinch (m, juv), collared dove, stock dove, robin, chaffinch (m), black- headed gull.
