On arrival, I mixed a small amount of brown crumb, added a handful of sweetcorn and threw out the sloppy balls by hand.
It’s not a deep pool, and the cloud of crumb attracts fish without keeping them in the upper level, away from the bait on the deck.
I started to get small roach interest from the first cast.
That’s how it continued, apart from the perch that you can see in the lead image.
Although you wouldn’t call it a perch bait, nevertheless I do catch a few on sweetcorn.
