I caught roach, nice enough fish actually from a place where you would probably expect stunted silvers.
I also netted a perch as well.
Although you don’t associate them with sweetcorn, you will catch a few over time.
What about the tench?
I did strike at what was obviously not a roach but the connection was just a second or two before the hook pulled.
I didn’t get another bite of the cherry, which is the way it goes sometimes, especially when you’re targeting bigger fish.
