A small pool carp on the bank and Rangers in the group stages – It’s been a very good evening indeed

I didn’t go fishing until quite late in the evening, with just over an hour to spend on the bank.

I’ve said it on many occasions before though – and no doubt will in the future as well – that as far as water’s edge time is concerned, quality is better than quantity.

The small pool I fished is one that I’ve been on before and like the others, there’s definitely a pull as far as I’m concerned.

I was fishing with 6lb line, 1/4 ounce bomb and a single grain of corn on a size 12 hook.

I had located a reasonably clear bottom, in an otherwise weedy venue, and fished to that.
