We all know the saying that the early bird catches the worm, well, the same principle applied for me this morning.
The early angler nets the perch.
I was on a canal as the sun was rising, and my all-perch catch consisted of a fish every cast, until about 6.45 a.m.
I was thinking how many anglers would arrive at that time, considering it an early start.
Even though it is, they would still have missed the feeding spell, as that was pretty much over by then.
There are many factors that give you the edge as an angler, one of them is joining the fish when they feed, as opposed to you setting the time table.
