The players, the fans, the flags – Linfield FC at The New Saints in the UEFA Champions League

Many football fans follow the fortunes – at varying levels of support – of several teams.

My Northern Irish club is Linfield FC and so, when the draw was made for the Champions League qualifying round one games, I was delighted to see them paired with The New Saints.

What a fantastic support they brought to Park Hall as well.

Even the 1-0 defeat will give them hope and belief for the second leg next week in Belfast.
