Fishing another off the beaten track pond then home for the Premium Bonds draw

I fished a small pond in one of my recent blog entries and made reference to doing more exploring of such places that are off the beaten track.

That was the case this evening, as I set off for an hour up to dark on a pond that isn’t a recognised angling venue.

Leaving home, there was a common buzzard circling overhead and lots of swifts darting through the air as they mopped up any winged insects unfortunate enough to be on their flight path.

The pond I fished is very overgrown and taking a standard float rod meant I got in quite a few tangles.

Plus, I lost a couple of hooks as I snagged the bottom.
