I fished with a no-name 4.5 feet rod and a Shimano DL 2500FA reel loaded with 4lb Maxima Chameleon.
The hook length of five inches was created by nipping an AAA shot on the line and the hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 18.
I switched to an SSG shot after a few casts.
The extra weight helped casting and bait presentation in the flow.
I fished with a single maggot.
