The first jackdaw of the year in the garden

We had jackdaws in the garden last year but just for a short time, this week they’ve returned and hopefully to stay.

I saw the first one the other day, and when I went upstairs (we live in a dormer bungalow) to get some video footage, it flew off.

Likewise today, my wife spotted a pair on the feeding station and when she went in the same room, they were gone.

She did manage to get a couple of shots through the living room blinds first though.
