The Last Cast Of A Very Short Session

Before church this morning, I went for a short lure session on a local pool.

I’m fortunate to have numerous venues within a reasonable distance, which is great when time’s tight.

With lots of rain recently, the water was coloured, which isn’t what you want when lure angling.

Ideally, the clearer the better when you’re mini-jigging. It’s a sight way of fishing.

Plus, I was only there for a short period, as time was limited.

I didn’t even bother filming, instead looking to write a text-only blog entry.

However, when I caught a perch on the final cast, I decided to film it.

I needed to get a good shot anyway for the blog, so I thought I’d capture brief footage as well.

The tackle I fished with was as follows:

Fox Rage Ultron drop shot rod, Fox Rage Ultron 2500 reel, 10lb Sunline braid on reel.

Drennan Double Strength 12lb (1.5 metres) joined to the braid with a small swivel.

Micro jig head 0.7g size 6 hook. Glider 2 inch rubber fish. All knots (3) blood knots.
