There was no fishing for me yesterday, due to a long day at work.
That’s the problem with the really short days that we have at the moment, you can’t always get a session in before work and likewise after as well.
It did mean that I didn’t fish in Storm Barra, that passed through the UK.
Today, with the wind still gusty at times, I set up late afternoon on a local pond.
The timing was perfect because, from wind on arrival, by the time I cast out, it was calm.
It really was the tail end.
I caught small roach, a perch and I played a pike for a while until it came off.
