Ahead of the JD Welsh Cup fourth round game against Carmarthen Town, the media preparations included the match preview and the press conference.
This time it was assistant manager, Chris Seargeant, who answered the questions that we put to him.
With it being an away game, plus distance, we travelled the day before.
My day began at 9.20 am. when I left home to get on the coach at the Longmynd depot, near Shrewsbury.
Longmynd Travel is the official travel partner of The New Saints, so I took the opportunity to post on the club’s social media platforms.
The game itself was 0-0 after ninety minutes and went straight to penalties.
For the first time since November 2017, The New Saints won a penalty shootout.
With all five players finding the net, ultimately it was Connor Roberts’ save that separated the sides with a 5-4 victory.
Following the game, I interview Connor and Anthony Limbrick.
I arrived home at 10.30 p.m. so quite a long two days but, as always, good ones.
I enjoy football-related travel and everything else that goes on around games.
The following day I published a five talking points article on the TNS FC website.
