If you’re an angler then you won’t need reminding that fishing is the perfect platform from which to view the natural world.
While out on the canal this evening there was a very obliging common shrew on the far bank. I do love British nature, I always have since I was a child.
As far as the fishing was concerned, I caught chub, perch and roach in the hour and a half I was there.
