No fishing yesterday, due to work, but I was back on track first thing this morning. It was another visit to the Staffs/Worcs Canal with the float rod.
It was just a short session but, nevertheless, a busy one. I fished with a single white maggot over brown crumb and loose maggots.
Not only the fish but also a juvenile robin was attracted to the bait. It was very obliging and I captured it on film.
I also heard my first cuckoo of the year, which is always good. I’m just waiting to see my first swift of 2021 and that won’t be too long now, I’m sure.
