Another Day, Another Early Start And Another Angling Session On The Staffs/Worcs Canal

No fishing yesterday which, as you can see in the accompanying video, was down to being responsible.

Plus, for as much as I really do love my angling, it is a passion and not an obsession.

If I don’t get out on a particular day, that’s fine. However, it was nice to be up early this morning and casting a line into the Staffs/Worcs Canal.

There’s more in the video that I recorded on the bank, with the final clip coming from the car. Unless I go really early tomorrow, this will be my last session in the current vehicle.

I’m exchanging cars in the morning. Apart from that, nothing else will change; as far as fishing is concerned, life goes on.

I fished with a Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

There was 5 feet length of 2lb 8oz Ultima Virage fluorocarbon joined by a loop-to-loop knot.

The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler. The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 18.

I fished the boat channel, with brown crumb and mixed maggots and single white maggot on the hook.
