A Pleasant Surprise On The Feeding Station, A New Bird Tick And Tadpoles Update

There’s always something to see on the bird feeding station that we established at the end of last year.

There are several species of birds that are daily visitors, with blackbirds, blue tits, dunnocks, great tits and wood pigeons among them.

It’s nice when something different shows though and that was the case on April 11. Not a new bird for the garden but, nevertheless, great to see.

During the week I did add a new tick, courtesy of a late dusk flight, as Canada goose flew overhead.

The common frog tadpoles are progressing nicely, even though the weather is adverse at times.
