Three Fish In The Landing Net At The Same Time And Good News If You Drive Through Wall Heath

Although the alarm was set this morning, I was still up before it kicked in. I do enjoy fishing early in the day, it’s very peaceful to be out and about before the world in general stirs.

I was fishing the Staffs/Worcs Canal, and after three consecutive lure sessions, this time it was back to the float rod.

I had plenty of action, from the first cast to the last, and ended up with numerous perch and gudgeon, as well as the solitary roach that you can see in the lead image.

You can watch the short video that I recorded here, on my YouTube channel, where the two references in the headline are explained.

Little and large

I fished with a Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

There was 5 feet length of 2lb 8oz Ultima Virage fluorocarbon joined by a loop-to-loop knot.

The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler. The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 18.

I fished the boat channel, with brown crumb and mixed maggots and single red maggot on the hook.
