It was a very spring-like day today, and after I did everything that I needed to do, I headed to the local canal for an hour or so up to dark.
You can follow the session via the video below.
I fished with a 9’ John Wilson Masterline Debut rod and a Shimano 3500 reel, loaded with 4lb Maxima Chameleon.
The lead was a 1/4 ounce bomb, with a size 6 shot and 5mm bead. The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 16.
I fished towards a permanently moored boat, with two maggots over mixed maggots and brown crumb.
Hi Stewart,
I’d just like to say I really enjoy your blog posts and YouTube videos. It’s great to know of a fellow Christian from my local area who is passionate about angling – I’m part of Wall Heath evangelical free church, so I’m sure there are probably some mutual people we know! I have recently got into fishing, so it’s been good to learn a few things from your posts and videos.
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you out and about on the canal near me around Wall Heath and Swindon – next time I see you I’ll say hello!
Sorry for the long message, but I just wanted to say hello and encourage you in your angling blogs/vlogs :)
God bless,
Joe Yates
Hello, Joe. Thanks for the kind words, very much appreciated.
I don’t live far from Wall Heath, been past the church a few times recently, as it’s being rebuilt!
Definitely, say hello!
See you soon!
