The Feeding Station Is A Hive Of Activity

The recent harsher weather has certainly brought the birds to the garden in numbers. From dawn to dusk, the feeding station is a hive of activity.

There’s been an increase in all bird numbers but the highlight so far has been two nuthatch visiting.

Sometimes you don’t know if the bird visiting is the same one, or there are more, until you see them together.

It was really exciting to see the nuthatches on the feeding station earlier today.

There are mixed seeds, fat balls, mealworms, suet pellets, peanuts and sunflower hearts readily available to all the visitors but it’s the latter that is by far the most popular.
