JD Cymru Premier MD6 proved to be an amazing one for The New Saints FC, beating Flint Town United 10-0 at Park Hall.
Finding the net five times, Greg Draper set a new TNS FC league goals scored record, as he passed Mike Wilde.
The latter had found the net 153 times during his time with the club, but going into the game on 151, it was only a matter of time before the New Zealand international moved to the top of the charts.
Funnily enough, before the game, Greg said to me that he was going to do it. He was so confident – Greg is one of the least arrogant people you will ever meet – I immediately bought into his prediction.
I was – and still am, as I write this – so pleased for him. In fact, I’d say ‘thrilled’ and ‘buzzing’ were probably more appropriate words.
This was my nineteenth game of the season and with two a week at the moment involving The New Saints, that’s pretty much the extent of my groundhopping.
The lead image involves holding the sponsors’ board up for the S4C interview, when they spoke with Greg. My life with The New Saints is a varied one.
