I’ve enjoyed the half a dozen pre-season friendlies that I’ve been to so far. However, you can’t beat a competitive game and with the The New Saints FC hosting MŠK Žilina, in the UEFA Europa League, that was certainly an exciting one to kick the season proper off with.
Just a one-leg affair, due to the Covid-19 situation, the 3-1 victory means that TNS FC is in the qualifying round two draw this coming Monday.
From a club perspective, a home tie is best, but from a groundhopping angle, an away draw please. It’s definitely a win-win as far as I’m concerned.

Great win Stewart. You are a man after my own heart, with football and fishing as the two loves in your life. I’m a life long Manchester City supporter having supported them for 47 years since I was 10 years old. Unlike the glory hunters that seem to latch on to successful clubs nowadays, I’ve supported City through good times and bad. I remember when we were rubbish 🙂 If I remember rightly, as well as your work with TNS, I believe that you are a Wolves supporter, who beat City home and away last season
Hello, Peter. Football and fishing, not a bad life, eh!
Great win indeed last night. I’ve been speaking with several players today and they’re still buzzing!
I quite like Manchester City. In the absence of Wolves winning the title, I wanted them to triumph.
I’ve been to the training ground twice to cover games when Jamie Vardy had his academy.
Very impressive indeed. It’s a great set-up indeed.
