A Walk Down Memory Lane, Where My Love Of Nature Was Birthed All Those Years Ago

My daily walks so far have been focused on the Beacon, Turls Hill and the centre of Sedgley itself. I’ve been intending to cover other areas though and today I did just that.

Still within walking distance from home, this time round I headed for Hickmerelands Lane. In the area of Sedgley where I grew up, especially with today being my birthday, it brought up lots of memories.

I share those in the video below, as well as capturing images and footage of the lane itself. Although the walk was limited to Hickmerelands Lane, I do intend to visit the wider area in due course. As they say, watch this space.

Birds seen: blackbird, blackcap, great tit, robin, chaffinch, wood pigeon, wren, carrion crow, great spotted woodpecker (f), song thrush, blue tit, magpie, goldfinch.
