One thing I like about the European games from a media perspective is that when you play the ‘big’ teams, you move to the next level. That covers so many things, including the post-match press conference.
I do ours at Park Hall because the external journalistic demand isn’t there. However, once you move to the bigger stage, it’s different.
I enjoy doing the interviews, don’t misunderstand me, but it’s great to be there with the manager on the platform, welcoming the media, inviting questions and then thanking everyone.
This time we had BBC’s Nick Southall and a Danish journalist asking questions. There were others there but they just recorded it and took their requirements from that.
