After a weekend with no fishing, picking up the passion again on Monday morning

It wasn’t one of those sessions where the water is so clear that you can see everything that’s going on beneath the surface.

Nevertheless, I was still fishing quite close in, about four feet from the bank.

As expected, it wasn’t exactly action all the way, but I still had plenty of strikes as the float sailed away due to lots of small roach in the swim.

It was also a short session as well, which is the way to get more fishing in.

Even in my semi-retired position I haven’t always got the time – or indeed the inclination – to spend a substantial number of hours every day at the water’s edge.
