Beat yourself up or learn and move on? Don’t let a small molehill of disappointment become a huge mountain of failure

Every time I play football, I know whether I’ve had a good game or not.

My latest outing on the pitch saw me thinking to myself that I did fine but could have been better.

I didn’t exactly plunge myself into the depths of despair though.

I just thought that next time I put the boots on, I’ll be pleased with myself come the end of the game.

I’ll use the motivation of a not-so-good performance to make the next one a positive one.
