Beat yourself up or learn and move on? Don’t let a small molehill of disappointment become a huge mountain of failure

I always like doing the first interview when The New Saints signs a player.

One of the questions I often ask is, ‘How do you react when you’ve had a bad game?’

‘Do you beat yourself up or do you learn from it and move on quickly?’

I think it’s a relevant question to anyone who plays football, whether a professional player or someone who just enjoys a game at their level.

However, in the quest to always improve what we do and who we are, as individuals we can sometimes go overboard on the self-criticism.
