It’s pretty tough going on the fishing front lately.
Obviously, the weather is taking its toll and with both air and water temperatures being rock bottom, especially with the latter that’s making things difficult.
It’s a challenge just finding ice-free water.
Yesterday, I visited a stretch of canal that had a short section of fishable water by a lock.
I fished a small waggler float with two maggots at the entrance to the lock itself.
With the water so clear you can see everything on the bottom, I waited until the last hour before dark.
