We’re due to hit a cold spell – no surprises there, it is January after all – but regardless of the weather, the angling show rolls on.
This morning was a session on a pool after pike, using my favourite method of float fishing.
There’s something special about staring at a float lying there on the surface of the water, only bettered by the float itself starting to move,
That happened five times this morning, with three fish on the bank and two parting company with the bait.
I fished with roach, gudgeon and perch and all of them tempted a fish.
You can see the fish caught in the accompanying video, as well as a look at the tackle used.
