Chris Adams doesn’t sound like a tough, cool character in a western but that’s exactly what he is in The Magnificent Seven.
Played by Yul Brynner, in the 1960 classic he recruits six others to rid a Mexican village of raiding bandits.
Steve McQueen, James Coburn and Charles Bronson also star.
There’s a good plot and, of course, lots of fighting.
Even though the seven had the chance to save their lives and go, they returned to continue the liberation of the village.
In the end only three made it, four were killed.
In real life, they have all passed on, with Robert Vaughn the last to die, in 2016.
