Croeso i Gaerdydd – Welcome to Cardiff

After I’d done my work-related stuff, I went for a familiar walk as far as I’m concerned, to Cardiff Bay.

As well as the modern buildings, there’s a lot of history in the area.

Also known as Tiger Bay, it’s where millions of tons of Welsh coal began the journey to the rest of the world.

Those days have long since gone but, with a certain imagination, it’s easy to picture yourself back in the nineteenth century when it was a thriving port.
