The brook was looking good actually and I caught a number of my target fish, the three-spined stickleback.
The British record is 8g – not 8.3g as I said in the video while speaking from memory – so that makes the 5.8g fish I caught even better.
When you break it down to a percentage of the record, it’s actually an excellent fish.
The brook in question is extremely shallow, so much so in fact that even most anglers wouldn’t even give it a second look.
Search out the bends though and you’ve got, relatively speaking, deeper water.
Still only inches but deeper.
