It was later in the afternoon when I went fishing.
While my wife and daughter walked the dog, I cast a lure into a pool.
To be precise though, I mostly dropped it in tiny gaps in lilies and worked it vertically in the water.
I did have a few chucks out in open water but they were totally unproductive.
Not even a snatch or a lunge.
