A fishing session on the River Severn in Wales – Going back to my roots and making the most of every opportunity

In the case of this angling session, it meant I could arrive at the water’s edge, ahead of a game, and know that I didn’t need to be available.

I took a slight detour on the way to work and, as you can see from the lead image, I stopped as I came to the border and captured the sign.

Montgomeryshire, along with Radnorshire, is where my paternal Welsh roots are from.

Mid-Wales is very rural which although I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s a gene thing, however, figuratively speaking, it is in my blood for sure.

I’m definitely more of a country person than a townie.
