I keep my rods made up and ready to go, which is a big positive.
I arrive at the water’s edge and I’m fishing far quicker than when you’ve got to set up from scratch,
This evening, I decided to fish the margins on a small pool.
Gradually sloping, the water was between one and two feet deep.
I float-fished and, although the water was reasonably clear, I couldn’t see fish taking the bait so the movement on the float was important.
I didn’t use any brown crumb this time, just loose fed maggots.
