Talking of happiness, I was up a few hours later to go fishing.
It’s a going-to-work-day later, so it was always going to be a short session
Short, but hopefully sweet.
However, that wasn’t the case.
Fishing the margins of a small pool, I had a very active pike in the area.
It was only a couple of pounds or so but its presence had a major impact on the angling, as you can imagine.
