I caught really well in terms of quantity but, as you can see in the lead image as well as the video, I did get a couple of decent fish.
The perch headed straight for some underwater vegetation and, for a few seconds, I did wonder if I had lost it.
However, some gentle pulls ensured that I prised it free and eased it into the landing net.
