Fortunately, that wasn’t the case this evening and, apart from small pike, I was able to fish in peace.
Not that I mind talking to passers-by, far from it, but when you’ve got a bait six feet from the bank in two feet of water, it’s not conducive to catching fish.
Loose feeding a trickle of maggots, I did quite well with lots of perch and roach on the bank.
