Loose feeding maggots, I caught lots of perch as well as a couple of roach and the rudd that you can see in the lead image.
There was also a small pike in the margins that looked to take advantage of fish being returned.
Even though I touched it gently a couple of times with my rod tip, it wasn’t going anywhere.
