My All-Time Wolverhampton Wanderers Legends – Billy Wright (4/5)

With the retirement on the pitch of Stan Cullis, Wright took on the captaincy, as Wolves went on to win three top-flight titles and lift the FA Cup on one occasion.

By the time he retired in 1959, he had made a total of 541 appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

I never saw him play, as my first game was just into the sixties. Stan Cullis was still the manager then though.
